The life of Robert Ivy as an Architect

In 2011, Robert Ivy was named the Chief Executive Officer and the vice president of the American Institute of Architects. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of the South where he majored in Bachelor of Arts. Later after completing his studies, he pursued his masters in architecture from the University of Tulane. He was a passionate student who had goals to succeed set out.In the year 1996, he was chosen to be the chief editor of the Architectural Record. Around the same time, he became the editorial director but also the vice president of McGraw-Hill Construction Media. McGraw-Hill has an affiliate of companies under it which include SNAP, ENR among other companies and Robert Ivy was the overall chief editor.

During the design of Eisenhower Memorial, Robert Ivy was a juror on the panel that gave Frank Jerry the geek. Between the year 1981 to 1996, Robert Ivy and Dean were among the muscle that was constantly criticizing for public publications. Robert Ivy has in the recent past earned various awards under different capacities. Under his editorial work, he earned a premier magazine journalism award, courtesy of the Architectural Record. Additionally, he was awarded a National Magazine Award for his outstanding performance and good governance.

In the year 2010, the national fraternity for architectures voted his as the master architect for the great contribution that he has brought in the field. His urge to push American designs worldwide has seen him write a biography. Currently, he is focusing on criticizing the architects who do shoddy work and tarnish the name of architectures. Despite his winning various awards under different capacities, he was recently honored with a lifetime achievement award. The award was from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters. This was the first time an architect received the Polk Award. During the award, the award from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters he was praised for the magnificent role that he has played in trying to produce best architects in America. Indeed, he has taken the architectural sector to the next level, especially in the U.S.A.



Wes Edens is a businessman, an entrepreneur, and an equity investor. He is among the five founders of Fortress Investment. In addition to this, he is one of the proprietors of the FlyQuest team and he is also the co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks team. This team belongs to the American Association of the National Basketball which is popularly referred to as the NBA.

Career at Fortress Investment:

In 1988, Wes Edens, Peter Briger, Randal Nardone, Michael Edward, and Robert Kaufmann started The Fortress Investment Group. Mr. Edens is a brilliant investor whose investment style best described as creative financing has been able to grow the investment company tremendously. The five were able to develop the company and in 2007 it was the first buyout firm to be traded publicly in an IPO. By this time the company included several assets, they included 14 equity funds that were private, two vehicles of real estate, and four hedge funds. By 2009, the company sold a total of 600 million dollars which was 8% of its share.

During this time, Wes Edens was appointed the Co-Chairman of the Fortress Investment, Board of Directors. While in this position he was very instrumental in getting the company out of a depression which sunk the stock price of the firm to under a dollar. In 2015, Mr. Edens became the chairman of the company’s infrastructure and transportation branch. He held this post for one year. FlyQuest is Fortress Investment’s eSports creation team that was formed in 2017. Currently, the team is competing in the NA LCS. Mr. Edens is the head of Fortress Investment Group’s private equity branch.

Under this post, he has been able to spearhead several investments like the acquisition of Springleaf which is a subprime lender.According to Wall Street, Mr. Edens was termed as the subprime lending king because of this vital acquisition. Another important acquisition that Mr. Edens was in charge of was the purchase of Nationstar Mortgage. The entrepreneur is the equity mortgage lending company, chairman. Apart from Fortress Investment Group, Mr. Edens has also worked for The Lehman Brothers and BlackRock Investors. He launched his career at Lehman Brothers in 1987.
