He then attended Tulane University and earned a master’s degree in architecture in 1976. He was a principal at an architectural firm called Dean/Dale, Dean & Ivy which was based in Jackson Mississipi. This organization offers architectural services across the United States.

In October 1996, Robert Ivy left this architectural firm and became the editor in chief at McGraw-Hill Companies. This company releases many architecture-focused publications each month. During his time with this company, Robert Ivy often served as a spokesman for the architectural industry. He addressed political and social questions about how design affects how people live. He also discussed how architecture can have an effect on the environment among other issues. His writing and speaking made him one of the most prominent architects in the United States over time.

Because of his clear and effective communication style, Robert Ivy was named as the executive vice president and chief executive officer of the American Insitute of Architects in February, 20011. One of his main messages is that good design leads to good health and a positive impact on the environment.

In his role as the head of the AIA, Robert Ivy has spoken all over the world and has been interviewed many times. Conor Lamb and End Citizens United Set Sights on Sweeping Change in PA Special Election

The resistance is spreading and now Pennsylvania may be in its crosshairs. Since the election of Donald Trump, Republicans nationwide have been struggling to hold onto their seats at the state level. President Trump’s historically low favorability ratings have led to 35 state seats flipping from red to blue, compared to just 4 flipping in the other direction. In Pennsylvania, we’ll see a young Democratic challenger in Conor Lamb face off against a seasoned military intelligence officer by the name of Rick Saccone. The traditionally red district could serve s a temperature test for the upcoming Congressional Midterms.

Conor Lamb, at just 33-years-old, will have to d what no progressive has been able to do in almost a decade: mount a serious challenge for a Congressional seat in the 18th District of Pennsylvania. The special election will be held on March 13th in a district that President Trump managed to win by 20% during the 2016 Presidential Election. Despite these unlikable odds, Conor Lamb may have better odds than you might otherwise think. For one, trends show progressives getting out to vote. Secondly, Conor Lamb scored an endorsement from one of the most passionate progressive groups in the nation — End Citizens United.

End Citizens United is a grassroots political action committee that was established just two years ago. The political action committee scored its name from the 2010 Supreme Court case revolving around a conservative group named Citizens United. Citizens United, led by a lawyer named James Bopp, essentially argued that corporations were people and that they should be allowed to exercise their right to spend as much money in the form of political donations. The decision was controversial but it still made its way through the Supreme Court, thus permanently wedging a door by which lobbyists could pour into Washington D.C.

End Citizens United makes it their habit to endorse candidates who are willing to stand tall and fight to introduce legislation to overturn the Citizens United decision. Conor Lamb’s decision to champion campaign finance reform allowed him to tap into the progressive fever that is sweeping through the nation. Lamb will have to fight to overcome a traditionally red district and he’ll be also fighting against the President himself. President Trump recently endorsed Rick Saccone while urging other top Republicans to put time and effort into supporting his campaign. From these actions, it is clear that Republicans are reeling from progressive momentum.

End Citizens United Has Hopes For Conor Lamb

Conor Lamb is going to be a litmus test for what will happen later this year. He’s trying to win the 18th district of Pennsylvania and all signs suggest that he just might be able to do it. There are going to be obstacles in the way, but overall it seems that the time to take on big money and the politicians behind it is coming. End Citizens United is proud to say that it supports him and wants to see his success in this area.

The 18th district of Pennsylvania went for Trump with a considerable margin. The new wave of politics is likely to help decide where they will go in the future and it suggest that things are looking good for Democrats. There is a great advantage in both funding and enthusiasm from the left with many who supported Trump deciding they aren’t quite satisfied. The only way to get people back is to find a way to make a message that will appeal to them and let them know that they are not forgotten. Lamb is going to tailor is message to the district through the use of economic themes designed to appeal to them specifically.

End Citizens United has already helped bring about so much progress already, but it has much more to give and much more it plans on doing in the long run. This year is going to be a busy one with lots of efforts designed to help get voters out and provide a new direction for Democrats. Nobody wants to see money continue to corrupt our politics and give the wrong interests power over our lives. There is a time to take a stand and time appears to be the 2018 electoral season. The best chance for success is right now.

Conor Lamb is being endorsed for a reason. He is going to make this special election a litmus test for how this country will go in the near future. We won’t know for sure what happens in November until we’re actually there, but we can make a good guess based on what happens now. He’s certainly prepared for what might just end up coming true and he wants to make sure everyone is fully aware of his message. End Citizens United has always supported this specific type of candidate and that isn’t going to change now that he’s up for election.

Tony Petrello Not Your Typical CEO, Donates $7 Million to Texas Hospital

In September, Steven Smith wrote and published an article on Live Newspaper about the CEO and President of one of the leading drilling companies in the United States, Nabors Industries. However, the article wasn’t centered on the new plans for growth or profit for the company, instead it focused on the philanthropic efforts of Tony Petrello in his own back yard in Houston, Texas.

Tony Petrello doesn’t fit the stereotypical idea of an oil executive. Instead, he has proven himself to be incredibly generous as well as the respected leader of Nabors. He has his daughter to thank for his kind heart.

Eight years ago, Tony Petrello’s daughter was born prematurely at 24 weeks, weighing only 20 ounces. The physicians discovered a common ailment in premature babies, namely periventricular leukomalacia, otherwise known as PVL. PVL is a common disorder in premature babies which prevents adequate blood flow and oxygen to the brain.

For Carena, Petrello’s daughter, PVL eventually led her to develop cerebral palsy, a disease which prevents normal development and motor skills. Because of this, Tony and his wife began looking for industry leaders and researchers on neurological disorders. His pursuit eventually took him overseas, as he recognized that there was not enough research being done in the U.S. Still, he recognized that the majority of the research was done on adult brains. His own position as a member of the Board at Texas Children’s Hospital gave him the position to inquire at a variety of research institutions around the U.S. and internationally. However, the results were disappointing.

Tony Petrello realized that there was an absence of peer-reviewed research on the topic. Tony felt that this was inadequate. He donated nearly five million dollars with the promise of an additional two million to the local Texas Children’s Hospital to support their research into children’s neurological disorders. Throughout his search, Tony gained valuable contacts such as Jan and Dan Duncan. Their donation of more than fifty million dollars led to the creation of the Neurological Research Institute at the hospital.

Tony Petrello is the CEO and President of Nabors Industries, the largest drilling fleet on land and offshore. His leadership has helped the company develop a team of skilled specialists, eventually driving them to become a leader in the oil and gas sectors.

Tony Petrello began his career in mathematics and law. He gained his Bachelor’s degree from Yale in mathematics, continuing to study there for his M.S. Eventually, he continued to Harvard for his J.D.
