Mathias Rosenzweig Featured Alex Pall

There have been many different DJs and artists throughout the years who have achieved widespread success and critical acclaim but none have managed to do it quite as quickly as the DJ and production duo known as the Chainsmokers. So how did they manage to rise out of obscurity in such a short period of time? Mathias Rosenzweig recently had a little chat with Alex Pall to discuss the origins of the DJ and production duo, how they deal with the persistent fame and what they have planned for the future of their career. The two first met in the big apple when Taggart was enrolled at Syracuse and Alex Pall was still taking any gig he could get in and around New York City. Pall’s manager introduced the two and they instantly hit it off.

Before long, they were working together on a regular basis and it only took two years for them to drop their first hit single. This led to a whole string of hits and, before either of them knew what was happening, their success and fame had become pervasive. While¬†they do buck the trend by singing on their songs, Pall insists it’s crucial to do so because the songs are about their lives and experiences. He then began singing the praises of Halsey, their collaborator on the song, Closer, as a cool and unique individual who’s not to afraid to be herself. He then talked about how much he appreciates those who love and listen to their music.

While their fanbase used to be mostly people from the ages of 18-22, it has since grown to include people of all ages. As for their live shows, they are perpetually changing and evolving as the music industry continues to grow. While a lot of other artists prefer to lip sync, they actually take great pride in the fact that they always sing live during their concerts. And they’re planning on sticking around the music scene for as long as they can. So we wish them the best of luck in the future of their career.
